How to get to Flume Trail Bike Shop

From Reno/Sparks Area

Option 1: Scenic Route
Make your way to US 395 south to the Mount Rose Highway (State Route 431). Take Mt. Rose Highway all the way into Incline Village. Turn left at the junction with State Route 28. Continue through Incline Village and head south on State Route 28 about 10 miles. Turn left into the Spooner Lake day use area, if you make it to US 50 then you have gone to far. Once inside the day use area just follow the signs to the day lodge/bike shop.

Option 2: Direct Route
Make your way to US 395 south all the way through Carson City, to US 50 West. Go up the hill 9 miles and just over the top of Spooner Summit is the State Route 28 junction. Turn right on to State Route 28 and head north for about 3/4 of a mile. It is the first driveway on the right. We are inside the Spooner Lake day use area. Once inside the park just follow the signs to the day lodge/bike shop.

From Carson City Area

First you must get to US 395 and go south all the way through Carson City to US 50. Go up the hill 9 miles and just over the top of Spooner Summit is the State Route 28 junction. Turn right on to State Route 28 and head north for about 3/4 of a mile. It is the first driveway on the right. We are inside the Spooner Lake day use area. Once inside the park just follow the signs to the day lodge/bike shop.

From Sacramento Valley Area

Option1:
Take US 50 east all the way up through the American River Canyon into South Lake Tahoe. Turn right at the Factory Stores in South Lake Tahoe and continue all the way through South Lake Tahoe and the casino district. After the casino district continue north on US 50 about 12 miles to the junction of State Route 28. Turn left onto State Route 28 and proceed about 3/4 mile north. We are the first driveway on the right, inside the Spooner Lake day use area. Once inside the park just follow the signs to the day lodge/bike shop.

Option 2:
Take Interstate 80 east and get off at the North Lake Tahoe Highway 267 exit. Continue all the way into Kings Beach on Highway 267. When you reach the stop light, turn left and go all the way through Kings Beach and proceed through Crystal Bay and Incline Village. Keep going and you will begin to head south on the east side of Lake Tahoe. Continue south about 10 more miles and we are on the left side of State Route 28, look for the Spooner Lake sign. We are inside the Spooner Lake day use area. Once inside the park just follow the signs to the day lodge/bike shop.

From the Bay Area

You will need to make your way to Interstate 80 east from wherever you are. Proceed east to Sacramento. From Sacramento there are two options.

Option1:
Take US 50 east all the way up through the American River Canyon into South Lake Tahoe. Turn right at the Factory Stores in South Lake Tahoe and continue all the way through South Lake Tahoe and the casino district. Option 2:
Take Interstate 80 east and take the North Lake Tahoe Highway 267 interchange to King's Beach. Continue on Highway 267 north all the way into Kings Beach. When you reach the stop light, turn left and go all the way through Kings Beach and proceed through Crystal Bay and Incline Village. Keep going and you will begin to head south on the east side of Lake Tahoe. Continue south about 10 more miles and we are on the left side of State Route 28, look for the sign. We are inside the Spooner Lake day use area. Once inside the park just follow the signs to the day lodge/bike shop.
